The BEGINNING.
The beginning of Independent Study and Mentorship was nothing short of precise nor elegant. With the introduction of a multitude of various elements, the beginning was Allegro, but I was Presto. Thrown into a whirlwind of vision boards, research assessments, speeches, mission statements, and digital portfolios, among other courses, it almost seemed as if I was the whirlwind itself. And so, I began. From my first digital portfolio to my aboutme and my Linkedin, I began.
This week, I built my first digital portfolio. I created a website showcasing my career goals, created an aboutme page, and grew my LinkedIn. In addition to this, I learned how to conduct interviews and create a handful of questions, both general regarding the field of medicine as well as the specific questions I had pertaining to radiology. I reviewed on dressing professionally and had the opportunity to give and receive feedback on my handshakes and others.
Additionally, I reflected upon my research assessments number one and two, which allowed me to draft my research assessment number three. I finished and uploaded my research assessment number two, where I read, analyzed and wrote a detailed analysis of this topic with the knowledge I already have, over acute pancreatitis.
Furthermore, I have started collecting materials for my portfolio, which I will be putting together this upcoming week.
This week may have been a whirlwind -but I was presto- and I shall continue to be.
